Meaningful and measureable change
Healthy By Design was created with an overarching goal in mind — improve the health of our community. Since our initial inception in 2006 and “official” formation in 2010, our Coalition has worked across sectors to successfully implement policies, systems, and built environment strategies to measurably improve the lives of individuals who live, work, learn, and play in Yellowstone County.
Responding to Yellowstone County’s health priorities
Every three years, members of the Healthy By Design Coalition are tasked with creating a dynamic Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) in response to the latest Yellowstone County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). We are proud to have partnered with community members and leaders for 5 plans to date and look forward to more success stories to come. Since 2006, Coalition has measurably improved the quality of life and health of Yellowstone County residents through strategies focused on active living, healthy eating, access to care, trauma informed care, and creative placemaking.
