Community Health Needs Assessment
Yellowstone County's Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
Every 3 years, the healthcare Alliance of Billings Clinic, RiverStone Health, and St. Vincent Healthcare, conducts a comprehensive community health needs assessment (CHNA) for Yellowstone County. This “wellness check” serves as an important tool for determining how we can best work together to improve our community’s health. The Alliance began collaborating on this important assessment back in 2005, and we now have 5 cycles spanning 15 years of data to inform our collaborative work. The CHNA is available to anyone who is interested in learning about our community’s health status, health behaviors, and biggest needs for improvement.
Opportunities for involvement in the CHNA process will be shared on the HBD Facebook page, website, and in our monthly e-newsletter.
This assessment is comprehensive but data gaps remain. If you have any relevant data you would like to share as part of our current CHNA or upcoming CHNA process, please let us know!
Income Disparities
CHNA data reflects an undeniable correlation between income and health outcomes. This graph shows how income impacts local health.
Updated factsheets highlighting these as well as gender and age disparities are currently under development.
